We have turned of infinite scroll meaning the page won’t keep loading articles forever now unless you click a button – any feedback welcome. The reason we’ve taken this step is to check how accurate our site stats are in terms of pages viewed.

Please bear with us as we upgrade to a new version of our content management solution tonight – the site might go down for a few minutes, so do check back in a bit later should you stumble upon it.

We have juggled around the menu above, the biggest change was adding the ‘organisations’ tab – this is to facilitate near-future content. Please bear with us as we start populating it, and have a great day! In the meantime, feel free to send feedback to feedback@space51.com.

We have activated Infinite Scroll meaning that you don’t need to click a button anymore to read articles on the next page, as the site now automatically pulls the next set of posts into view when you approach the bottom of the page.

Another update (which may be temporary) is that the wallpaper (showing our galaxy) was removed. At over 400kB It was too heavy, and this clean white layout might just do the trick. Last but not least, we have also restructered the menu to get a more intuitive layout.

And last but not least, definitely check us out next time you’re browsing on your mobile (if you’re not yet…) – the theme is fully responsive and mobile enabled. Nice.

Welcome to Space 51

Welcome to Space 51, portal for space travel – documenting humanity’s drive to explore and boldly venture out into space, undoubtfully to one day colonize another planet or moon. This first post is merely the humble beginnings of what we hope will help to inspire generations to come to “Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Be curious.” as Stephen Hawking once said.
